Dr Markus Hamm

After studying and graduating with a PhD in economics, Dr Hamm worked 8 years as a management consultant for McKinsey in different industries. In 2004 he joined the private, family-owned hospital chain Schoen Clinic in Germany as a hospital director, became Group CFO in 2009 and took over the Group CEO role in 2017. In 2020 he stepped in the outpatient sector as Group CEO of veonet and built the leading Ophthalmology clinic group in Europe. Today veonet runs more than 250 eye care clinics with more than 5,000 employees in five countries (DE, UK, NL, CH, ES) with each a strong national brand and leading market position.
