Betul Susamis Unaran

Betül has deep experience and strong passion for data and digital. She has been leading first-of-its-kind digital initiatives to transform lives and disrupt healthcare outcomes on senior leadership positions in healthcare.

She is serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Ypsomed, a leading injection and infusion systems company for self-medication. She is member of the Advisory Board for Lumanity – a global Arsenal Capital Partners company, dedicated to accelerating and optimizing access to medical advances.

Betül served as Chief Strategy and Digital Officer, part of the Executive Board of the Zur Rose Group for close to 3 years, building the European Healthcare Ecosystem. Before, she held several senior positions: Global Head of Digital Medicines at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Director of Global Operations and Global Head of Digital at Ferring Pharmaceuticals. senior consultant at McKinsey & Company (London and Geneva) and positions at Procter & Gamble (Istanbul and Frankfurt). She studied Industrial Engineering at Bogaziçi University in Istanbul and has an MBA from INSEAD.

Betül has been a speaker on healthcare, digital health and ecosystems with the Financial Times, Web Summit Health Conference, HBI and others. She has been part of numerous publications including ‘Health in the Age of the Platform Economy’ from Dr. Jens Baas / Technicker Krankenkasse, ‘How to succeed as a Chief Digital Officer in Pharma?’  and ‘Unleashing the power of digital health through ecosystems’ by McKinsey and Company.

She was selected as one of the “2022 Global Top CDO 100” by HotTopics.ht in partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (2022), named one of “20 amazing Women leading Europe’s tech revolution” by Mindquest (2021) and one the “Top 10 Future Shapers” of Switzerland by Handelsblatt (2021).
